Debra Goodman, MSPT - Founder/Owner

Debra Goodman, MSPT graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1994. She then graduated from the University of Miami with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. Currently, Debra is a licensed manual physical therapist with specialties in pelvic health, orthopedics, dance medicine, and sports medicine. She has been a physical therapist for Westside Dance Physical Therapy in New York City, New York City Ballet, and School of American Ballet. Debra went on to develop a private pelvic health/orthopedic practice in New York City in 2002, and after moving to the Albany area in 2004, developed a private practice in the Capital District.

Debra’s professional focus is treatment of orthopedic and pelvic health issues with a particular strength in dealing with chronic pain patients. Debra has extensive training  in manual therapy techniques including Myofascial Release (John Barnes method), cranial-sacral therapy, muscle-energy techniques, joint mobilization, soft tissue massage, active release therapy, and energy medicine. Debra is one of the few physical therapists trained in techniques for internal evaluation and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. In addition, she is specifically skilled in treatment of pregnancy and postpartum issues.

Debra is a certified Pilates instructor and part of the continuing education faculty for Kinected Center and The Kane School of Core Integration in New York City. She teaches multiple continuing education workshops for Pilates instructors, physical therapists, and fitness trainers focusing on educating professionals on how to teach exercise during pregnancy and postpartum. Debra is also the creator of her signature exercise classes, the Pregnancy Workout and the Ab Rehab.  These Pilates-based programs teach participants how to exercise safely and effectively with emphasis on core stabilization and proper alignment.  Debra’s goal is to empower her clients with education and training so they can heal injuries and keep their bodies healthy.

Heather Trembly-Croteau, DPT - Physical Therapy Staff

Heather received her Bachelor’s in Creative Arts in Therapy with a concentration in Music from Russell Sage College in 2008. She then continued on at Sage Graduate School to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. In early 2012 Heather became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Heather enjoys working with all types of orthopedic injuries especially involving low back, hip, neck, shoulders, overuse injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She specializes in treatment of sports medicine injuries and has worked with many high school and college tri athletes and Ironman athletes, and since joining the Deb Goodman team, Heather has become thoroughly trained in treatment of prenatal/postpartum issues and pelvic floor dysfunction including internal exam and treatment. Heather’s personal and continuing educational experiences have enhanced her ability to evaluate and treat the whole person. She works to design a program specifically developed for each patient including a combination of both highly skilled manual therapy techniques and specific guided exercise instruction
